Every material when heated emits certain kind of electromagnetic radiations. But electromagnetic radiation in range of visible light are only observed at high temperatures (above 600K). Are there materials that emit visible light at lower temperature when heated?

Thermal emission is goverened by Wien's displacement law - all materials behave the same way as far as thermal emission is concerned.
I think there are materials that store energy in excited electronic states, and release it upon heating; the emitted light would likely be at a single wavelength. However, the emissions would only last as long as there were remaining excited state atoms.
