I have been contacting them for over a month to merge my previous account with my current one, but I have not received any response or a solution to the issue.
!!! I think that You will have to merge your accounts manually as soon as possible, because, it is forbidden to have multiple profiles. There is a practice of reporting such persons, after such profiles are banned.
I presume you mean the following profile https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ahmed-Khaled-2/research Ahmed Khaled PhD scholar at Chang'an University
If you (still) have access to it (by using the e-mail and password for this profile) then there is no need to create a new profile. Just update your affilition and other info.
If you cannot access this profile (because the mail no longer is active or you forgot the password) you might consider to claim the papers as author and move the content of your old profile to your new one this way. See https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14292798510993-Authorship
Best regards.
PS. As mentioned here https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14292803187473-Duplicate-profiles if you cannot confirm your old profile anymore then you need to request RG to have a look at it (perhaps only after you've shifted all your works to the new profile). The RG team seems to be rather small and are overloaded with all type of requests. Therefor it might take awhile before they act.
